Boquete Community Players is putting on its Second Annual Art Show in August – the Feria de ARTE which is being held in the Salon Orquidea of the main Feria Building. Below is an approximate schedule of the Entertainment, Raffles and Auctions. Don’t Miss It and Miss Out!!!

Feria de ARTE kicks off on Friday, Aug. 15th from 7pm to 10PM
with a Gala Opening Reception

Acupuncture in general will be presented by Keum-Dond Han, a Korean acupuncturist. He will talk about the function of acupuncture, benefits of the acupuncture treatment and other information regarding acupuncture treatments.

August 12, 2008
Grupo Mundial, Ricardo Gonzalez, will be our speaker on investing in Panama (preferred stock, common stock, gov’t bonds, etc.) and will give a general presentation on the investment scene available in Panama including Panamanian Security Exchange history, development and opportunities. He will also address the outlook for global markets.

Our speaker will be Lee Ziltzer who will present “Medical Evacuation and healthcare coverage in both David and Panama City. A comprehensive plan for saving lives in Boquete in the event of an urgent health caresituation will be presented.

August 26, 2008
Victoria Wilson will be presenting guest speakers from the Junta Tecnica of Real Estate and from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Subject: Local Real Estate Market follow-up. What to expect from the continuous violations of the Real Estate Laws in Panama. More on this presentation later.

Concrete and Concrete Staining Workshop
At Rancho de Caldera, Chiriqui
Friday August 22nd and Friday August 29th

Concrete is used widely in Panama for all construction. Concrete is also a great medium for crafts and artwork. In this workshop we will learn how to mix concrete, do repello, make concrete stepping stones with various designs and patterns, acid stain concrete, and color concrete with dyes. The techniques we use in making the stepping stones can be applied to any concrete work.
